We are more than just a project; we are a dream brought to life. We are the steadfast supporters behind a vision of a world that is a little more human, a little more livable. A world where all people can disagree yet thrive in peace, where coexistence is possible through understanding and recognition.
Your support will not line pockets or fund lavish offices. Instead, it will breathe life into this dream, fueling its growth and development. With your help, we can make this beautiful vision a reality.

For 25 years, Maria D. Bermudez has worked in the shadowed corners of global migration. From refugee camps in Africa to the ethnically divided Balkans, from courtrooms in Asia to clandestine border crossings in Latin America, she has become a keeper of testimonies too long held in darkness. Her work for the UN, EU, and OSCE transformed silent narratives into policy. Her research and teaching at UC Irvine ensures these stories continue to illuminate the human reality behind simple statistics.
Cecelia Kouma, Executive Director of Playwrights Project, founded and directs the Out of the Yard program at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility, where she teaches playwriting alongside a team of theatre artists. Since 2014, she has led the development of several group plays that have been performed both inside the facility and in public venues, including The Cell Plays produced at the Jail Museum as part of La Jolla Playhouse's Without Walls Festival.
